Parsleysucd was founded in 2009 by Kwame Acheampong, a financial analyst who returned to Ghana after 15 years working in the banking sector in the United Kingdom and United States. Upon his return, Kwame recognized a significant gap in the financial planning services available to ordinary Ghanaian citizens. While multinational banks served wealthy clients, and microfinance institutions focused on the underbanked, middle-class working professionals lacked access to comprehensive financial planning tailored to their unique needs and challenges.
Starting with just two employees in a small office in Cape Coast, Parsleysucd initially offered basic budgeting and savings advice to local teachers and healthcare workers. Our approach was distinctive from the beginning: we focused on education and empowerment rather than simply selling financial products. This philosophy resonated with clients who appreciated our transparent, client-centered approach.
By 2012, we had expanded our team to include specialists in retirement planning, investment advisory, and household financial management. We developed custom planning tools designed specifically for Ghana's economic environment, accounting for factors like currency fluctuation, inflation patterns, and extended family obligations that weren't addressed by imported financial planning models.
The turning point for our company came in 2015 when we launched our mobile-first digital platform, making professional financial planning accessible to Ghanaians in all regions of the country. This innovation, combined with our commitment to financial education through community workshops, established Parsleysucd as a pioneer in democratizing financial planning in Ghana.
Today, with a team of 22 financial professionals and support staff, we serve thousands of clients across Ghana, helping them navigate financial decisions with confidence and clarity. Our Cape Coast headquarters remains our primary location, but we now offer virtual consultations nationwide and conduct regular workshops in major cities throughout the country.
